Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks a Transmission Student Intern for Des Moines or Muscatine, IA. This onsite role supports design, studies, and project reviews in electrical transmission & distribution, aiding data collection and report preparation.

You will work with project teams, develop design parameters, standards, and specifications while assisting in data analysis and the creation of deliverables. Prospective interns should be pursuing an engineering degree and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams, marketing, business development, and technical support.
• Develop transmission line design parameters, technical design and project review.
• Develop transmission standards and specifications, prepare studies and reports.
• Collect and analyze data from reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photos.
• Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules and environmental studies.
• Assist designers/technicians to convert designs to working drawings using CAD/analysis tools.

Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Transmission Student Intern for our Des Moines or Muscatine, IA office.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Support project teams, marketing, business development, and technical support.
• Development of transmission line design parameters, technical design and project review.
• Development of transmission standards and specifications, preparation of studies and reports.
• Assists in the collection and analysis of data from reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
• Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, materials lists, permits and designs for projects.
• Assists designers/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing Bachelors degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidate must be able to work in the United States legally for any length of time.
