Job summary

Saber Power Services is seeking an experienced Lineman Foreman to lead transmission and distribution crews in constructing, maintaining, and repairing power lines and related electrical equipment. You will direct daily field activities, coordinate manpower and equipment, and ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with project specs and OSHA/NESC standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program.
• Valid Journeyman Lineman certification or card (e.g., IBEW, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in line construction and maintenance with leadership experience preferred.
• Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
• Experience on high-voltage transmission (69kV-500kV) and/or substation tie-ins.
• Live-line work experience (rubber glove or hot stick).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and utility safety practices.
• First Aid/CPR and OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise linemen, apprentices, groundmen, and other field personnel in daily line construction and maintenance activities.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities based on project schedules and manpower availability.
• Build, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines and equipment.
• Direct crews in stringing, sagging, splicing, terminating, and connecting conductors on structures and poles.
• Supervise setting of poles and installation of transformers, switchgear, and line equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures when climbing poles and working at heights.
