Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Transmission Student Intern for our Des Moines, IA office. The role supports project teams and contributes to the development of transmission design parameters, standards, and studies.

The candidate will work onsite, learn from experienced engineers, and gain exposure to environmental and construction planning tasks. Desirable candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in the United States legally for any length of time.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams, marketing and business development.
• Develop transmission line design parameters and technical designs.
• Prepare studies and reports on transmission standards.
• Collect and analyze data from reports, maps and drawings for planning.
• Prepare or modify reports, plans, schedules and designs.
• Contribute to engineering drawings using design software.
