Job summary

Benshaw is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to develop and deliver training programs for motor control and drive systems, serving employees, customers, and partners across medium- and low-voltage applications.

The role focuses on technical training, knowledge transfer, and customer enablement, with collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Service teams to support product adoption and issue resolution. Travel will be required to customer sites and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Training, Applications Engineering, Field Service, or related role.
• Strong working knowledge of MV and LV motor control systems, soft starters, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, and Profibus.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and instructional skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training programs covering MV and LV products, including VFDs, soft starters, and control systems.
• Conduct instructor-led and virtual training sessions for customers, distributors, service personnel, and internal teams.
• Provide instruction on system operation, configuration, startup procedures, best practices, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver hands-on demonstrations and lab exercises using production and training equipment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Service teams to support customer success and product adoption.
