Job summary

American Institute in New Jersey seeks an Adjunct instructor to deliver hands-on instruction across business, legal, allied healthcare, diagnostic medical sonography, and IT programs. The role focuses on guiding students, providing feedback, and supporting program goals while aligning with the school's teaching mission.

Responsibilities include developing course content, maintaining records, supporting student development, advising, and participating in professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of verifiable electrical experience related to residential/commercial/industrial work or related areas.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program/Course: Responsible for comprehensive course instruction within specified program
• Student Development: Provide extra help to those students experiencing difficulty in mastering course work
• Advising students with minor problems and referring major problems to the Program Director/Director of Education
• Correct and return quizzes, tests and lab assignments within 48 hours
• Demonstrate utilization of community resources through arranging guest speakers, field trips and class participation in community service events
• Turn in grades within 48 hours of the end of term
• Perform other duties as required by the Program Director/Director of Education
• Although you will be provided with most teaching materials, you may be required to enhance the curriculum with assignments, worksheets, notes, tests and answer keys
