Job summary

American Institute, founded in 1924, seeks an Adjunct instructor to deliver hands-on training in healthcare programs and related business and IT disciplines. You will guide students through curriculum, evaluate performance, and support remediation and certification preparation to ensure high achievement and program retention.

The instructor reports to the Program Director and collaborates with leadership to meet accreditation standards and student outcomes while maintaining a positive learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 15 semester credits in the subject field required.
• Academic preparation in the specific courses taught is required.
• Graduation from a healthcare field program is required.
• Active industry certification/licensure in healthcare education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches material from approved curriculum according to schedule and deadlines to ensure student satisfaction.
• Prepares for each instructional week and demonstrates proficiency with course materials.
• Evaluates student coursework against learning outcomes and provides feedback.
• Grants timely grades and reports results to students.
• Maintains student engagement and professional conduct throughout courses.
• Supervises externship experiences and provides tutoring and lab instruction as assigned.
• Delivers distance education for Online campus and coordinates with ground campus responsibilities.
• Adheres to compliance requirements and communicates them to students and staff.
