Milwaukee Area Technical College seeks a part-time Electrical trades faculty member to join the Manufacturing, Construction, and Transportation Pathway. The role involves in-person instruction, curriculum development, and ongoing program evaluation at MATC Wisconsin.

The position requires a valid apprenticeship certificate or Journeyman license, five+ years of electrical trade experience, and teaching coursework within the last five years.

Competenze

• Apprenticeship certificate or Journeyman license in Electrical trade (or 4 years/8,000 hours apprenticeship)
• Minimum five years (10,000 hours) of electrical trade experience in construction/industrial maintenance
• Two years of teaching Electricity coursework at the post-secondary level within the last five years

Mansioni

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and teaching-related activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
• Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
• Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
• Collaborate with advisory committee in the program area.
• Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
• Promote the program and recruit/retain students; support MATC marketing.
• Support student organizations and activities.
• Develop relationships with business and industry.
• Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
• Maintain certification and pursue professional development.
