Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an Electrical Testing Technician to contribute to an energized team responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our manufactured products. On any given day, you’ll set up routine electrical and mechanical test equipment, build fixtures, perform tests, and record results, while supporting calibration and lab maintenance.

The role requires reading instruments, blueprints, and schematics, strong English communication, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with two or more years of technical education or equivalent (required).
• Ability to read basic measuring instruments, simple blueprints, and simple schematics (required).
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand basic technical English.

Responsibilities

• Setting up routine electrical and mechanical test equipment for the testing of wiring devices and/or components thereof.
• Building test fixtures and test equipment as requested by supervisor.
• Performing standards and special tests on wiring devices and/or components thereof.
• Recording the results and writing lab reports on the tests that were performed.
• Assisting certification agency representatives in the inspection and testing of wiring devices and their associated products.
• Assisting supervisor in maintenance of, repair of, calibration of the construction of test lab equipment.
• Performing related duties as requested by Supervisor, Engineering Test Lab.
