Job summary

We Energies in Franklin, Wisconsin seeks a Technician Electrical-Testing to inspect and test relays, metering and SCADA devices across substations and power plants. You will develop test procedures, ensure data integrity, and provide technical support to engineering teams.

The role requires an associate degree in electronics or related coursework, a driver’s license, and compliance with security and DOT testing standards. Overtime and special projects may be required.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in electronics technology OR 60 college credits in electrical engineering/electronics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Background check per security standards.

Responsibilities

• Pinpoint outage-related underground cable faults for repair crews.
• Perform AC & DC high-potential testing on substations and equipment.
• Conduct partial-discharge testing on cable systems and analyze results.
• Maintain and document test procedures and records.
• Support other groups with analysis and expertise.
