Job summary

BCES Global, through Bopat Electric, is seeking an Electrical Testing Technician in Maryland. The role may be Technician II or Senior Technician III based on experience, certification, and technical capability.

Responsibilities include performing acceptance and maintenance testing on HV systems, testing switchgear and relays, and documenting results while adhering to NETA standards. Regional travel and overnight support are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical power systems testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and test results.
• Willingness to travel regionally and support overnight assignments.
• Strong hands-on testing and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems.
• Test switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, cables, grounding systems.
• Perform commissioning and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify equipment deficiencies.
• Document testing results and prepare accurate reports.
• Follow applicable NETA standards and company safety requirements.
• Travel regionally and support overnight assignments as required.
