Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Technician / Lead Test Technician to perform comprehensive electrical testing and inspections on power distribution equipment in a clean, advanced facility. You will troubleshoot, analyze data, and report results to engineering and management, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

The lead role adds technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior technicians during testing and troubleshooting tasks, with emphasis on accuracy and process

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical testing and inspection of equipment, systems, and components.
• Experience with transfer switches and switchgear, including acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to read/interpret electrical blueprints and schematics; knowledge of UL/NEC/IEEE/NETA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and inspection per UL, NEC, IEEE, and NETA standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and identify root causes.
• Analyze results and prepare detailed reports for engineering and management teams.
• Identify safety risks and collaborate on corrective actions with engineering teams.
• Lead testing activities and provide direction to junior technicians when applicable.
