Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a skilled electrical test technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start up low and medium voltage distribution equipment in field and shop settings. Travel locally, regionally, and nationally is required; international travel preferred.

You will work with engineers and clients to ensure safe, compliant commissioning, document results, and mentor junior technicians as needed; NETA/NICET experience preferred and a strong safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant electrical experience with a HS Diploma/GED.
• NETA / NICET certification (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience with test equipment such as Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house using company software systems.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and other electrical equipment.
• Contain material costs by eliminating waste and implementing control measures.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
