Qualifications

1. Assist Electrical Test Technicians I, II, and III under supervision, performing tests involving circuits up to 250 volts.

Entry Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a two-year electrical/electronic degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License; CDL optional.
• Ability to pass a written test or technical assessment on electrical circuits.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company-specific software.
• Must pass background check for secured areas access.

Fully Qualified

Minimum two years’ experience as an Electrical Test Technician I, completed company training, and ongoing skill verification.

This role requires access to secured areas, which involves passing a background check.

Performance Expectations (upon completion of training):

• Work with senior technicians to learn company operations, safety, and equipment.
• Familiarize with electrical test equipment and substation, distribution, and transmission equipment.
• Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems.
• Follow safety regulations diligently.
• Drive company vehicles as needed.
• Work in various conditions including enclosed spaces, outdoors, storms, and nights.
• Learn to read prints and operate recording devices.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of equipment and customer premises.
