Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Test Technician in Waukesha, WI on 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) to perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of large electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent experience and can read schematics, operate multimeters and oscilloscopes, and work with PLCs and power distribution systems. This role offers a steady schedule and competitive pay with $35.70/hr.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems, Utilities, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, field service, industrial maintenance, controls, utilities, power generation, switchgear, transformers, or heavy electrical equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other electrical testing equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working around high-voltage electrical equipment
• Experience with PLCs, commissioning, field service, switchgear, transformers, substations, or power distribution is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of large industrial equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Verify control wiring, instrumentation, and electrical systems
• Conduct low and medium-voltage testing using a variety of electrical test equipment
• Assist with setup and teardown of testing equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and help identify root causes
• Document test results and investigate non-conforming conditions
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
• Follow all electrical safety procedures, including LOTO and NFPA70E requirements
