Job summary

Base, America’s next-generation power company, is seeking an Engineering Technician to build the test infrastructure for hardware and software deployments. You will turn engineering designs into physical test benches and fixtures, from low-voltage harnesses to 240/480V power circuits, to run around the clock.

You’ll document each build so future stations go up in days, not weeks, and collaborate with engineering to decide what to fabricate in-house versus outsourcing.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience wiring harnesses: cutting, stripping, labeling, and documenting the work so someone else can build it the same way.
  • Experience building both a low-voltage signal harness and a 240/480V power circuit.
  • Experience designing or fabricating enclosures, mounting brackets, or racking systems.
  • Comfort with power tools and fabrication equipment of all kinds.

Responsibilities

  • Build and wire test benches and fixtures, from signal-level harnesses to 240/480V power circuits
  • Document every build so a station can be replicated quickly as we add capacity
  • Design and fabricate enclosures, mounting brackets, and racking systems built to run continuously, 24/7
  • Decide when to fabricate a part in-house and when to send it out, and ensure it’s built right
  • Keep test systems running and ready for engineering and automated testing, 24/7
  • Follow wiring schematics and match workmanship, safety, and inspection standards to the job
