Job summary

Base is America’s next-generation power company building a distributed battery grid. We’re seeking an Electrical Test Technician to create test benches and fixtures for 24/7 operation, turning designs into reliable hardware and software test setups.

You’ll document every build for rapid replication, collaborate with engineering, and decide when to fabricate in-house or outsource parts to keep pace with growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience wiring harnesses and documenting builds so others can replicate.
• Experience wiring low-voltage harnesses and 240/480V power circuits from schematics.
• Ability to design or fabricate enclosures, mounting brackets, or racking systems.
• Comfort with power tools and fabrication equipment of all kinds.
• Team-oriented with proactive communication and prioritization.
• 1–3 years in electrical work or hands-on technical roles; apprenticeships count.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire test benches and fixtures, from signal-level harnesses to 240/480V power circuits.
• Document every build so a station can be replicated quickly as we add capacity.
• Design and fabricate enclosures, mounting brackets, and racking systems built to run continuously, 24/7.
• Decide when to fabricate a part in-house and when to send it out, ensuring it’s built right.
• Keep test systems running and ready for engineering and automated testing, 24/7.
• Follow wiring schematics and maintain safety and inspection standards.
