Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop and validate cutting-edge test equipment for aircraft power generation components. You will support generator test labs and production Test Equipment, designing harnesses, integrating instrumentation, and creating clear electrical schematics.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with electrical systems, and familiarity with LabVIEW.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new product test specifications and determine equipment requirements.
• Analyze requirements for unit testing interfaces and electrical circuits.
• Design harnesses for test equipment and setups.
• Incorporate instrumentation for monitoring flows, pressures, load, torque, airspeed, vibration and temperature.
• Design and coordinate build, checkout, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems with hourly workforce.
• Create electrical schematics to document designs and enable cross-team communication.
• Create project estimates and work within budget to meet goals.
• Support Process Standardization and document with Standard Work.
• Identify and support opportunities to reduce Non-Recurring Expenses within Test Engineering processes.
• Drive AutoCAD-E as the common platform for Electrical Designs
