Job summary

SMT Corp is seeking an Electrical Lab Technician to perform electrical testing of electronic components in a 70,000 sq ft facility. You will use test fixtures designed by SMT Corp engineers to inspect components for quality and counterfeit risk, adhering to MIL-STD-883 and MIL-STD-750 where applicable.

Progression is encouraged and extensive training is provided. Schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm with a half-hour lunch, working in a controlled environment dedicated to counterfeit

Qualifications

• The role requires high attention to detail and steady manual dexterity for handling tiny electronic components.
• Experience in a manufacturing lab environment is preferred.
• Ability to work in an ESD and FOD controlled lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow electrical testing work instructions as directed by engineers.
• Handle components into and out of test fixtures.
• Observe and report results of electrical testing.
• Sort components based on testing outcomes.
• Report problems to engineers when issues arise during testing.
