Job summary

SMT, Corp. is seeking a lab technician to inspect electronic components and use advanced test equipment. The role focuses on verifying data against datasheet specifications, counting micro components, and handling parts within a controlled environment.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a manufacturing lab, perform repetitive tests, lift up to 40 lbs, and operate in an ESD/FOD lab setting. The shift is 8 hours, Monday to Friday, with health and retirement benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to follow repetitive testing standards.
• Experience in a manufacturing lab environment preferred.
• Light lifting up to 40 lbs and occasional ladder use (up to 10 ft).
• Able to work in an ESD and FOD lab-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electronic components and assemblies in a lab setting.
• Operate state-of-the-art test equipment and generate test reports.

About the role

• Undertake multiple forms of inspecting of electronic components
• Use state-of-the-art test equipment in a lab environment to perform detailed inspections and generate test reports
• Research component information in order to compare components with data sheet specifications

Qualifications

• The role does require a high level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, ability to follow repetitive testing standards, and good eyesight.
• Experience in working within a manufacturing lab environment preferred.
• Components are stored within our warehouse and you will be required to undertake some light lifting (up to 40 lbs) and climb ladders (up to10 ft).
• Ability to work in a ESD and FOD Lab controlled environment.
