Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Test Engineering Manager (Electrical) to lead a team of technicians performing AC/DC functional testing on protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and arc flash assemblies. This role requires hands-on leadership and deep electrical test expertise.

You will coordinate testing schedules, review test plans, ensure NEC/IEEE code compliance, and drive quality improvements while maintaining documentation and equipment lists across Crown projects.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electrical field required.
• 8+ years of related work experience.
• Experience leading a team of technicians.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures, NEC, IEEE Codes.

Responsibilities

• Maintains testing schedule per project and production timelines.
• Monitors testing status and gathers feedback from technicians.
• Reviews test plans against schematics before testing.
• Reviews reports and schematics for compliance with procedures.
• Maintains test reports and schematics and uploads to project folders.
• Maintains testing equipment list and test procedures.
• Drives quality improvements and investigates failures.
• Ensures safety standards and clean, organized work areas.
• Performs power testing of relay panels, MV switchgear, and related components.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
