Job summary

Otis is seeking an Electrical Engineer Summer Intern in Bristol, CT, to support the Test Engineering team with design and development of test rigs for component and system testing.

You will work closely with technicians and engineers across the design center and gain hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data analysis while contributing to real-world elevator control and electrical system projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical measurements and test methods.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar is preferred.
• Experience with data analysis and report generation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Test Engineering in Bristol to design and develop test rigs.
• Assist with hoistway testing and environmental/qualification tests.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers across teams.
