Eaton is seeking a Test Engineer to join our South Milwaukee, WI site. You will oversee test equipment for Underground Padmounted Switchgear and legacy reclosers, ensuring safe operation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration and backups of PLCs/HMIs, and driving improvements in testing efficiency. Collaboration with EHS, Quality, Production, and Maintenance is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Lead and coordinate poka-yoke initiatives to improve product quality and process reliability.
• Champion safety, 5S, and MESH standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support to EHS, Quality, Production, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams.
• Develop, plan, and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for all test equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Maintain backups for PLCs, HMIs, and machine control computers.
• Ensure test equipment calibration and maintenance per QA requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement improvements to electrical test fixtures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update FMEAs.
