Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Sector in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead the site’s Test Engineering function, ensuring safe, reliable, and scalable production testing. You’ll oversee people, processes, equipment, and strategy to support electrical testing, automation, NPI, and customer requirements.

The role is on site at the Santa Ana facility with relocation assistance for candidates outside a 60 mile radius.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, electrical design, production testing, controls, or test automation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading technical projects or engineering programs with formal leadership experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret schematics and diagrams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Test Engineers, technicians, and electrical test personnel, setting priorities and development plans.
• Develop and execute the Test Engineering strategy and roadmap, including automation and equipment modernization.
• Own staffing, workload, test capacity, equipment utilization, and capital planning.
• Standardize test technologies to improve reliability, maintenance, and deployment speed.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to define validation and production test strategies for new products.
