Job description

PROLIM (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking Electrical Test Engineer for one of our top clients in Woodland Hills, CA

Job Responsibilities

The candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Electrical Engineer for the Sentinel Program, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may include:

1. Support the installation, integration, and testing of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom equipment used to further research efforts on superconducting microelectronic devices. Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-out and sell-off.
2. Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
3. Collaborate with research scientists and systems engineers to perform system architecture characterization studies on various system components.
4. Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
5. Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
6. Perform hands-on electrical testing at CCA level test setup and execution.
7. Perform hands-on electrical testing at a systems level.
8. Incorporate hardware and/or software design changes.
9. Document & disposition hardware discrepancies, pursue root cause & corrective actions.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below

Basic Qualifications for Associate Integration and Test:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree or PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
• Working knowledge in MATLAB, Python, C, or C++.
• Active DoD Secret Level security clearance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead problem-solving efforts and drive tasks to completion.
• Ability to work at a fast pace, multi-task, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in a team environment and lead small projects or teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on electrical testing and diagnostic experience.
• Experience in test script development with hardware interfaces.
• Experience working in C/C++/C# and MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications for Associate Integration and Test:

• Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance.
• Knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and signal analyzers.
• Knowledge of standard design components: filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers, etc.
• Familiarity with cryogenic test systems: dilution refrigeration, 4 Kelvin cryo-coolers, ADR, and liquid helium immersion.
• Experience with mission systems standards and guidelines.
• Software testing with data reduction and analysis.
• Experience with MES or similar digital work instruction platforms.
• Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting and thermal chambers.
• Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and verification.
