Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is seeking an Electrical Test Controller for Arnold AFB, TN. The role supports the Test Ops pathway and requires performing safe, reliable operations of test facilities and equipment, including drive and tunnel operator duties.

The candidate will qualify for multiple operator certifications and work across shifts based on workload priorities, with a starting hourly rate of $40.37–$44.86. U.S. citizenship is required, and security clearance is a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of experience as an Electrician; progressive experience may substitute for the required experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
• Current U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, reliable, and effective operations of installation and maintenance of test/plant equipment and systems.
• Complete and become qualified in multiple operator roles (PWT Main Drive Operator; 4T Tunnel Operator; 16T Tunnel Operator).
• Monitor system health and respond to alarms/trips; communicate with control room staff and engineers.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex testing equipment; perform electrical duties; use varied hand and machine tools.
• Train, instruct, and direct other craftsmen; wear PPE as required; perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Test Controller supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift, and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will under general supervision perform Safe, Reliable, and Effective Operations (SREO), of installation and maintenance of test/plant equipment/systems. Pursue and obtain all qualifications as assigned and demonstrate satisfactory progress as measured by two quarterly process assessments based on syllabus completion, body of knowledge testing and tunnel conditions OJT as a PWT Main Drive Operator, 4T Tunnel Operator and 16T Tunnel Operator, start/stop and configure systems (motor/compressor, valves, refrigeration, heaters, driers, coolers) as required.

Job Duties

• Required to complete and become qualified/certified in the following
  • QUAL3004 – PWT Main Drive Operator
  • QUAL3009 – 4T Tunnel Operator
  • QUAL3003 – 16T Tunnel Operator
• Monitor systems health
• Initiate appropriate response to alarms/trips
• Coordinate and communicate operations with others as necessary
• Coordinate with Test/Plant Control Room Operation Engineers, Supervision, Engineering Support and Base Utilities
• Direct and perform a wide variety of technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in the Control Room, Testing, Operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an Engineering Test Facility
• Checks out and prepares Plant and Test Facility equipment for operations
• Prepares and installs test articles
• Removes test articles after tests
• Installs and maintains facility systems, operates test facility, plant equipment, and test article equipment during tests
• Accomplish maintenance and servicing work as required to place and keep such equipment in operation
• Checks test articles and installation prior to tests, and assists in tests
• Operates complex testing equipment, and troubleshoots operating equipment or test articles, and installation in case of malfunction, with a high degree of skill
• Perform all Electrical duties as assigned
• Use a wide variety of hand and machine tools, powered equipment, complex measuring and test equipment as required to accomplish the operations
• Train, instruct, and direct other craftsmen(s)
• It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
• Perform other duties as required

Basic Qualifications

• Educational Equivalent: Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
• Specific Knowledge or Experience: Four years of experience as an Electrician, progressive experience in the electrician trade may be substituted for the required experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network
• Current U. S. Citizenship required
