Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting Electrician opportunity at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN, supporting Test Operations and Sustainment. You will work with an integrated team to operate and maintain test facilities and equipment, under general supervision, and contribute to safety and mission readiness.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 4 years of electrician experience in an aeronautical test facility, or 6 years in the trade, plus the ability to obtain security clearance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of electrician experience in an aeronautical test facility operation or six years in the trade.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to safely understand and execute technical manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and satisfy requirements for access to the AEDC local area network.
• Current U.S. Citizenship is required due to DoD security and federal contract requirements at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Checks out and prepares plant equipment and test facility equipment for operations.
• Prepares test articles for testing.
• Installs test articles and checks installations.
• Troubleshoots equipment, test articles, and installations in case of malfunctions.
• Operates plant and test equipment during tests.
• Assists in tests and operates test articles such as controls for engines and rockets.
• Removes test articles after test.
• Installs and maintains facility systems.
• Accomplishes maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operation.
• Uses hand and machine tools, power equipment, measuring and testing equipment.
• Instructs less experienced lower grade craftsmen.

The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift, and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will u nder general supervision, perform technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in control rooms, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an engineering test facility.

• It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
• Performs other related duties as required

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four years of electrician experience in the working section of an aeronautical test facility operation or six years of electrical experience in the trade
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to safely understand and execute technical manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructions
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and satisfy requirements for access to the AEDC local area network
• Current U.S. Citizenship is required due to Department of Defense security and federal contract requirements at AEDC

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
