Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Monroe, LA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop and support manufacturing test systems for pumps, compressors, motors, and related equipment. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance to improve validation, data collection, and test reliability, while driving continuous improvement through hands-on engineering work.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing/test, and strong LabVIEW/NI experience for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, automation, controls, or test/industrial electrical engineering.
• 3+ years with LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware/software platforms.
• 1+ years supporting end-of-line testing in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain electrical and automated end-of-line test systems used to validate product performance, safety, and quality requirements prior to shipment.
• Develop and support LabVIEW, National Instruments, PLC-based, and data acquisition systems used for manufacturing and laboratory testing.
• Troubleshoot and improve electrical test equipment, instrumentation, sensors, controls, drives, and data collection systems to maximize uptime and test accuracy.
• Support pressure, temperature, flow, electrical, vibration, and performance measurement systems used in manufacturing and product qualification testing.
• Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to investigate test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and first-pass yield.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on test automation, process capability, cycle-time reduction, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support new product introductions by developing test methodologies, validation plans, fixtures, work instructions, and production support processes.
• Provide electrical engineering support to plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects, including equipment upgrades and modernization initiatives.
