Job summary

Midwest Technical Institute is seeking an Electrical Instructor to provide high-quality instruction in electrical theory and hands-on lab work for students pursuing electrical technology certificates.

The role includes classroom and lab delivery, curriculum development, student assessment, advising, and collaboration with faculty to maintain program excellence. PM shift: 4pm-11pm; full-time with potential evening/weekend classes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of professional electrical industry experience.
• Teaching or instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in electrical theory, principles and practices.
• Deliver lecture-based and hands-on lab courses for electrical technology.
• Assist in development and improvement of the curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance with assignments and exams, giving feedback.
• Offer academic advising and career guidance to students.
• Ensure safety protocols in all classroom and lab activities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current.
