Job summary

Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) seeks an instructor in Electrical Technology to provide instruction and student support within the Engineering/Technology department. You will deliver courses covering electrical theory, wiring, safety, the National Electrical Code, and blueprint reading, while ensuring quality and consistency in instruction.

The role includes governance participation, curriculum development, and advising, with a focus on preparing students for electrician and service

Qualifications

• Proven teaching or training experience in electrical technology.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
• Experience across multiple electrical work areas (construction, maintenance, controls, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned Electrical Technology courses.
• Participates in curriculum development and maintenance.
• Provides academic support and advising with office hours.
• Participates in governance through college committees.
• Participates in recruitment and hiring of new faculty.
• Participates in college and community service activities.
• Maintains high-quality instruction and timely feedback.
• Maintains accurate scholastic records and attendance.
