Job summary

Enviva in Greenwood, SC is seeking an Electrical Technician to support production through electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and controls work. The role focuses on improving uptime, energy efficiency, and safety by diagnosing issues on PLC systems, drives, and instrumentation, while adhering to OSHA and Enviva standards.

Strong problem solving, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Two (2) years manufacturing experience.
Four (4) years electrical experience.
Proficient with hand tools and power tools for troubleshooting and replacement of wiring, equipment, sensors, and fixtures.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to interpret regulation codes and blueprints.
Ability to read shop drawings and work orders.
Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Adherence to safety rules and required PPE.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain electrical equipment per OSHA and Enviva standards.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled devices, motor control centers, and instrumentation.
Inspect and repair wiring, circuits, and electrical devices.
Troubleshoot communication and IT technologies (D-Net, E-Net, Fiber Optic).
Identify corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, drives, and instrumentation.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and report abnormalities.
Monitor production parameters and optimize safe, efficient performance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
