Job summary

IES is seeking an Electrical Technician in Bloomington, IN to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on active job sites. You will review plans, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and with teams. Occasional travel and on‑site work are expected as operations demand.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical documentation.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support accurate execution.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes.
• Coordinate with teams, vendors, and internal departments on project activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with field operational concerns.
• Mentor less experienced technicians as needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers and partners.
