Job summary

Novelis Oswego is offering an on-site summer internship for an Electrical Technician intern to join the team for approximately 10 to 12 weeks. You will shadow qualified electricians, learn to read blueprints, and gain hands-on experience with motors, controllers, and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.

The program emphasizes safety training, practical skills, and exposure to maintenance planning while reporting to the Associate EMRA Leader.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited 2-year Electrical Technology program.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills essential for interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist qualified electricians performing electrical diagnostics and maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Plan and prepare work orders or instructions utilizing blueprints and drawings.
• Receive training in electrical safety and other electrical/maintenance duties.
