Job summary

TIC_Craft in Port Arthur, TX is seeking an experienced electrician to plan, lay out, install, test and repair wiring, fixtures, motors and control systems on our construction sites.

You will read drawings, interpret plans, install conduit, test systems, work with high and low voltage, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires standing on industrial sites, performing overtime as needed, and maintaining problem-solving focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in construction/industrial field.
• Ability to understand, follow and convey written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, sketches, plans to determine procedures, tools, and equipment for troubleshooting and repair.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
• Install control and distribution apparatus and fasten in place.
• Test and start up systems and verify circuit continuity for safety and compatibility.
• Observe equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Move materials and work in confined or uneven spaces on construction sites.
