Westinghouse Electric Co in Windsor, CT seeks an Electronics Technician II - Field Service & Customer Support to build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and support electronic assemblies, PCBs, and electromechanical systems. The role supports field service operations and customers, diagnosing issues and ensuring equipment reliability.

The technician works from schematics and assembly docs, reports to the Manager of Inspection Services Tooling and Maintenance, and works onsite in Windsor, CT five days

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent in Electronics/Electrical Technology or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic equipment.
• Proficiency in soldering and electronic assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience building and repairing PCB assemblies and cable harnesses.
• Proficiency using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to perform detailed bench-level assembly and inspection work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to distinguish wire colors and identify small electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic, electrical, and electromechanical systems from drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and instructions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot circuits, PCB assemblies, sensors, motors, power supplies, and control systems to component level.
• Provide technical support to field service technicians and internal stakeholders.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, BOMs, and mechanical drawings.
