Job summary

Banner Engineering in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the RMA team by defining tests, analyzing results and providing technical assistance to engineers from concept to production. The role reports to the Sr.

Director of Manufacturing – Connectivity and requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics or related field, 0–5 years of experience, and hands-on skills with soldering, test equipment, and basic programming.

• 0-5 years experience
• Experience with basic hand tools
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies)
• General soldering processes

Responsibilities

• Production Validation, Production Troubleshooting, Test System Setup and Maintenance, and Failure Analysis and repair.
• Cord set soldering, crimping and fixture creation, up and validation
• General equipment recommendation, setup and training of operators
• Automated, Semi-Automated and Manual Test Systems
• Documenting and communicating processes and findings to stakeholders
• Collaborating with engineering to identify and implement production improvements
• Periodic internal calibration or verification of equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Base Pay Range: $27.12 - $37.00

Position Summary

From product concept to production, the Electrical Technician provides technical assistance to engineers by defining and performing tests and analyzing results within our RMA team.

This position reports to Sr. Director of Manufacturing – Connectivity.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

• Non-Exempt

What You’ll Be Doing

• Production Validation, Production Troubleshooting, Test System Set Up and Maintenance and Failure Analysis and repair including:
• Cord set soldering, crimping and fixture creation, up and validation
• General equipment recommendation, set up and training of operators
• Automated, Semi-Automated and Manual Test Systems
• Documenting and effectively communicating processes and findings to relevant stakeholders
• Collaborating with the engineering team to help identify and implement production improvements.
• Performing periodic internal calibration or verification of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Systems Technology, Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology or related field
• 0-5 Years Experience
• Experience working with basic hand tools
• Familiarity with:
• Electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
• General soldering processes\
• Communicating within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic programming languages
• Technical Drawings
• Lean Manufacturing
