Entegris, Inc. in San Luis Obispo, CA is hiring an Electrical Technician I for the 1st shift. You will wire panels, lay out components, install cables and harnesses, and follow detailed schematics to build ultra high purity systems.

Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of electrical assembly experience are encouraged to apply. Some lifting and weekend overtime may be required to support operations.

Responsibilities

This position will be at our **San Luis Obispo, CA** facility.In this role, you will be responsible for performing electrical panel layout and wiring tasks related to building our Ultra High Purity Systems. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions and drawings. **What You’ll Do:*** Learn and understand standard and non-standard options per the Customer Data Sheets (CDS) requirements.* Wire panels and follow schematics, wire diagrams, and verbal instructions.* Layout components on electrical panels per instructions and drawings.* Assemble point to point wiring – Cable and harness installation.* Learn engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.* Assist with 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).* Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase on-time shipments.* Work safely and recognize the safety of others.* Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.* Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards* Work with a team as well as independently when needed.**What We Seek:*** Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.* 1+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or have basic experience in electrical assembly.* Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily.* Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time.* Ability to pay attention to detail.* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.* Ability to perform visual checks and handle material responsibly.* Ability to use a computer and learn basic data entry.* Dependable and flexible.
