Job summary

Entegris, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for the Spring 2027 season at our San Luis Obispo, CA site. The role is full-time for six months.

You will work on electrical drawing updates, support prototypes, NPI, and production builds, and assist with troubleshooting and design reviews. The ideal candidate is pursuing BS or MS in electrical or mechatronic engineering, proficient in CAD and MS Office, and able to read engineering drawings.

Electrical Engineer Co-Op

The Role

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full-time, 6 months in duration.

What You’ll Do

• Utilize SolidWorks Electrical and DraftSight for electrical drawing updates.
• Support prototype, NPI, and production build activities.
• Assist Manufacturing Operations with troubleshooting, design clarifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with electrical design reviews and validation activities.
• Support product line standardization of control panels, schematics, and electrical designs.
• Participate in projects focused on design efficiency, quality, and process improvement.

What We Seek

• Pursuing BS or MS in electrical engineering, Mechatronic engineering, or related engineering field.
• Experience with 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Eligibility

Must be a currently enrolled student, available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June, and familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program. Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
