Job summary

IES is seeking an Electric Technician to assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems. You will work with customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure safety and compliance while supporting project execution in dynamic environments.

Entry-level candidates with basic electrical knowledge are encouraged to apply. The role requires travel to job sites, on-site work, and strong communication skills to document activities and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support project execution.
• Support diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Assist senior technicians and support field operations as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
