Summary

The Electrical Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing environment. This role requires proficiency across multiple skill areas, including electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes. The technician performs medium to high-level troubleshooting and repair, providing technical support across operations. The work involves moderate to significant mechanical maintenance tasks.

Shift Details

• 3rd Shift - 6:30 pm to 7:00 am
• Rotating days

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Interprets manufacturer manuals and electrical schematics.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Documents work via PM sheets, work orders, and logs.
• Responds to emergency breakdowns to ensure continuous operation.
• Performs repairs following OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.
• Notifies supervisors of potential issues.
• Uses required PPE, including possibly self-contained breathing apparatus.

Minimum Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Skills in troubleshooting switches, 3-phase motors, and lighting fixtures.
• Strong reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the plant with tools and equipment.
• Reach heights up to 150 feet for repairs and monitoring.
• Work outside in all weather conditions, standing for long hours.
• Exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise, with safety equipment as required.
• May need to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
