Job Description Summary
The Industrial Electrical Technician is pivotal in GE Gas Power’s manufacturing process and will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of system-controlled robotics, machine tools, and equipment.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical aspects of CNC machine tools, PLC ladder, VFD motors, and robotics.
• Diagnose problems, plan and complete work required, identify and order parts.
• Install, modify, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical and electronic control systems up to 600V.
• Maintain and modify machine tools, process equipment, and facilities.
• Apply knowledge of components, devices, and equipment used in industrial applications, including AC/DC motors, motor controls, electronic drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and sensors.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics OR High School Diploma/GED with Military Advanced Electronics Training Course.

Eligibility Requirements

• Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends.
• Ability and willingness to work either 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Monday - Friday.

Desired Characteristics

• Minimum 3 years work experience in a manufacturing facility in a technical maintenance role.
• Familiarity with electrical motors and control circuits.
• Strong electrical fundamentals and safety knowledge (electrical schematics, NFPA 79, LOTO).
• Prior experience with PLC systems (Fanuc, Siemens) using ladder logic to diagnose and repair circuits.

The pay range is $28.07 to $35.96 per hour, with additional bonuses and differential pay as specified. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and more.
