Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Job Summary:

12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The shift pattern follows the Dupont 2-2-3 schedule. This role will convert to FT based on performance. Interviews will be onsite, lasting 2.5 hours. During the interview, a tour of the facility will be given, followed by an 80-question multiple choice aptitude test covering symbol identification, troubleshooting, and schematic reading. PPE required includes steel toe boots; site will provide ear, head, and eye protection.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have journeyman certification plus HS diploma or GED
• Must have 2 to 4 years of experience
• Experience working in an industrial environment
• Experience driving a forklift is preferred

Principal Accountabilities:

• Comply with all Hazardous Waste procedures and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Receive wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate circuits and equipment, determine material or replacement needs, and plan troubleshooting and repair strategies.
• Plan detailed work procedures for efficient job completion.
• Consider safety precautions and proper circuit isolation to minimize interference with operations.
• Determine necessary tools and materials.
• Perform work requiring knowledge of electrical principles, wiring codes, materials, and equipment operation.
• Locate sources of electrical trouble by testing circuits and inspecting equipment.
• Use PLC interfaces to diagnose computer-controlled equipment issues.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and replace faulty parts on motors, generators, control panels, circuit breakers, and electronic devices.
• Reassemble, test, and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Perform work on hot lines as needed.
• Replace coils, resistors, relays, and other components.
• Adjust contractors, relays, and bus rigging.
• Reconnect terminal leads, panel boards, and distribution feeders.
• In emergencies, shunt out defective coils to restore operation.
• Modify DC motor characteristics as required.
• Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures for new or replacement facilities.
• Make all splices and connector joints.
• Adjust new equipment for proper operation.
• Perform repairs and adjustments on advanced electrical components such as inverter drives and programmable controllers.
• Comply with all hazardous waste procedures and regulatory requirements.
