Job Functions
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assembles custom built wire harnesses and control box modules by interpreting blue print specifications, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Reports to the Production Foreman and responsible for consistent and efficient workmanship in a team-based environment, meeting customer deadlines with quality finished products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In-Shop Responsibilities
- Build production control boxes to blueprints, maintain efficiency standards.
- Build production wire harnesses to blueprints, maintain efficiency standards.
- Work closely with engineering department for revision changes and component changes.
- Design wire harnesses to function with prototype electrical generators.
- Utilize wire cutting, striping, crimping, and soldering tools to assemble products.
- Verify parts clearances to spec, verifying conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical circuits, harnesses and control boxes using digital multimeter tool.
- Completes all timekeeping requirements to track labor in jobs.
- Completes all quality control paperwork per job as directed.
- Notifies production foreman upon completion of assembly.
- Adheres to the assembly process in place while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other responsibilities as designated by and at the discretion of management.

Qualifications
Preferred Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required. An electrical technical school certificate or related field such as Automotive/Diesel Technology preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of electrical assembly experience preferred.
