Laitram Machinery, a division of Laitram LLC, is seeking an Electrical Technician to assemble and test control systems and motor-control devices on a production schedule.

The role requires 2 years of experience with electrical systems, willingness to travel and work overtime, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualificações

• Associates or B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• 2 years working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, low and high voltage.
• Logical thinker with efficient troubleshooting skills.
• Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good people and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assembles and tests control systems per specifications to fulfill production and service orders on a production schedule.
• Assembles and tests motor-control devices (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, etc.), switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering specifications.
• Diagnoses causes of electrical and mechanical malfunctions and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer.
• Provide electrical support to Service Department and customers.
• Maintain electrical inventory – perform inventory transactions and cycle counts.
• Maintain file management system for electrical control systems.
• Perform Electrical Shop housekeeping tasks.
• Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary.

Responsibilities:

Assembles and tests control systems per specifications to fulfill production and service orders on a production schedule

Assembles and tests developmental or operational motor-control devices (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, etc.), switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering specifications and knowledge of electrical principles

Diagnoses cause of electrical malfunction, mechanical malfunction, operational equipment failure then performs preventative and corrective maintenance.

Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer

Provide electrical support to Service Department and customers

Maintain electrical inventory – perform inventory transactions and cycle count

Maintain file management system for electrical control systems

Perform Electrical Shop housekeeping tasks

• Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary

Requirements:

Associates or B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience

2 years working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, low and high voltage
