Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is expanding its Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, and seeks an Electrical Technician to support plant maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and lead special projects.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with PLC I/O (SLC 500, PLC 5), Allen-Bradley PanelView, RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, and with AC/DC motor controls; a degree in Electrical Engineering Tech or Electrical Engineering is a plus. Steel Dynamics is an equal opportunity employer.

The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia is expanding and adding positions for an Electrical Technician.

The Electrical Technician is a management position that provides

• Technical support to plant maintenance personnel
• Troubleshooting various issues
• Undertakes special projects
• All other duties as assigned

We seek someone with in-depth experience on the following control platforms

• I/O on PLC’s (SLC 500 and PLC 5, and Allen Bradley Panel View)
• Experience with RS Logix 5000 platform and Studio
• Experience with Allen Bradley and ABB drives is a plus
• Solid state AC & DC motor controls
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• A degree in Electrical Engineering Tech or Electrical Engineering is a definite plus
