Job Title: Electrical Technician
Location: 44370 Christy Street, Fremont, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 100% onsite
Pay Rate: $32.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience
Contract Length: 18 months
Reports To: Sr. Principal Engineer, Electrical
As an Electrical Technician, you'll support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of advanced electrical systems that contribute to Bloom Energy's industry‑leading technology.
Assist with electrical layouts and panel designs for low- and high-voltage systems
Build, wire, modify, and maintain electrical systems and assemblies
Route and terminate heavy power and control cables
Perform wiring harness rework and support engineering change requests
Create and maintain wiring lists, electrical schematics, and documentation
Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and hardware updates
Conduct continuity tests, I/O verification, and functional testing
Assist with system integration, startup, and safe equipment energization
Test and validate power supplies, battery assemblies, PCBs, and related components
Troubleshoot power distribution systems, control circuits, and electrical hardware
Document failures, corrective actions, and resolutions through FRACAS reporting
Recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability
7+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical assembly, testing, or system integration
Experience working safely with both low‑voltage and high‑voltage electrical systems
Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practices
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
Experience using diagnostic equipment such as:
Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
Oscilloscopes
Insulation Testers
Power Analyzers
Skilled in cable preparation, crimping, routing, and termination, including large‑gauge power cables
Excellent troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to lift, install, and route electrical components and cabling
Comfortable working closely with engineers and technicians in a collaborative environment
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or a related field
Experience in industrial systems, power electronics, energy systems, battery systems, or test environments
Previous experience supporting startup, commissioning, or system integration activities
