Nucor Steel Auburn, Inc. in Auburn, NY is looking for an electrical maintenance technician to support production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and automation systems.

The role stresses safety, reliability, and teamwork in a high-speed manufacturing setting. Qualified candidates will have a two-year degree or electrical trade schooling, or at least three years of industrial/military experience, plus knowledge of automation, PID/closed loop control, networking

Qualifications

• Two-year degree, successful completion of electrical trade school, or a minimum of three years industrial experience or military.
• Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and processes such as PID/closed loop control systems, networking tools and standards, Variable Frequency Drive experience (ABB, AB), and HMI programming and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• The technician will provide electrical support to the production crews, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and automation systems.
• The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of electrical principles and practical experience as it relates to the electrical maintenance function.
• The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.

Compensation for this position is $19.89/hr plus an additional estimated $28.57/hr in production pay, paid weekly. Teammates in this position annually average between $96,500 - $105,000.

Minimum Requirements

• Two-year degree, successful completion of electrical trade school, or a minimum of three years industrial experience or military.
• Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and processes such as PID/closed loop control systems, networking tools and standards, Variable Frequency Drive experience (ABB, AB), and HMI programming and troubleshooting
