Job summary

PCI Pharma Services is seeking an Electrical Technician Level 1 for first shift in Philadelphia, PA. You will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, and support installations and system modifications in a GMP environment.

The role requires a four-year electrical/electronic apprenticeship with substantial hands-on hours and at least four years of related experience in pharm/packaging sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing electrical/electronic production equipment.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and ladder logic for troubleshooting.
• Familiar with PC/PLC/HMI based control systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in electrical maintenance and repair of production machinery and systems.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of electrical circuitry and power distribution.
• Perform assigned duties as part of a team.
• Assist with equipment and system power installations and modifications, including validation procedures.

Assists with equipment inspection, installations, and equipment system performance improvements. Performs all work in accordance to company policies, procedures and regulations contained in company GMP’S, safety standards, SOP’s and housekeeping standards.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:**The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Responsible and effective maintenance/ repairs of electrical/electronic systems and devices within the production operation. Provide efficient and effective technical support in maintaining established production objectives. Provide technical support to both operations and technical staff in a professional manner to facilitate a positive working environment.**SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Electrical Technician Level 1):**· Demonstrates competency in the electrical maintenance and repair of production machinery and systems.· Demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical circuitry and power distribution.· Demonstrate basic knowledge of electronic controls, sensors, and various relays for production systems and machinery.· Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment.· Demonstrates basic competency in the maintenance and trouble-shooting of PC/PLC, including HMI, based or driven systems and machinery.· Demonstrate proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, schematics and ladder logic diagrams in the function and use to trouble – shoot equipment issues.· Perform assigned duties as part of a team.· Assist with equipment and system power installations, systems or equipment modifications, including validation and qualification procedures.· Perform all work in accordance with established company policies, procedures and regulations contained in cGMP’s, safety standards or standard operating procedures.· Ability to operate a man lift as needed.· Performs other duties, activities, or responsibilities as directed or assigned within the scope of this position.**TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:**Various hand and power tools as per training administered.
