Job summary

VanTran Industries, Inc. seeks an Electrical Team Lead to oversee daily electrical integration, testing, and FAT of power skids, E-Houses, switchgear, transformers, RMUs, control panels, and related equipment.

You will supervise Electrical Integrators and Test Technicians, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specs, quality standards, and safety procedures. You will coordinate with the Electrical Test Engineer, Production, Quality, and Project Management, mentor staff, and drive on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of industrial electrical assembly, integration, or testing experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using electrical test instruments and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical integration and testing activities.
• Assign work and provide technical directions to Electrical Integrators and Test Technicians.
• Coordinate installation, wiring, termination, labeling, and verification of electrical equipment.
• Lead electrical testing including continuity, insulation resistance (megger), DLRO/ground continuity, hi-pot, functional testing, relay verification, control system verification, power-up, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Review and approve test documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot electrical, control, and wiring issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members while supporting employee onboarding.
• Promote and enforce all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and electrical safe work practices.
• Coordinate activities with Electrical Test Engineer, Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Project Management.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and first-pass yield.
• Assist with scheduling, manpower planning, and meeting production deadlines.
• Support customer Factory Acceptance Tests and resolve technical questions.
