Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking an Electrical T&D Designer for the Oil & Gas group. The candidate will design and draft electrical power and mechanical systems under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

The role involves producing technical drawings, assisting with standards, and contributing to QA/QC processes. Strong CAD skills, knowledge of NEC/NESC, and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant engineering drafting and design experience.
• Ability to interpret basic one-line/three-line diagrams and schematics.
• Familiar with NEC, NESC, RUS and other standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PLSCADD, and AUD.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and prepare drawings for electrical power and mechanical systems in an industrial setting (one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, conduit sizing).
• Provide conceptual/high-level designs during bidding with limited information.
• Assist with external T&D standards development.
• Perform T&D designs in PLSCADD.
• Prepare documents like basis of designs, BOMs, and specs.
• QA/QC: review work of others and ensure quality.
