Electrical Systems Technician
Vanlife Customs | Arvada, Colorado
Full-time | $28-$38/hour, depending on experience
Love working with electrical systems? We’ll teach you the specialist skills.
At Vanlife Customs, we build sophisticated electrical systems that power everything from adventure vans and mobile offices to specialized commercial vehicles.
Our projects range from straightforward off-grid installations to advanced systems with large lithium battery banks, high-output alternator charging, solar power, inverters and intelligent monitoring.
We’re looking for a mechanically and electrically minded person who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work and wants to develop valuable specialist skills.
You don’t need experience building vans or programming Victron systems. We’ll provide extensive hands‑on training.
What matters more is your technical aptitude, curiosity, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
You’re technically curious. You enjoy understanding how things work and figuring out how to make them work better.
You’re hands‑on. You’re comfortable using tools, working with wiring and tackling practical technical challenges.
You take pride in your work. You care about the details, follow instructions carefully and believe a job should be done properly.
You’re a problem‑solver. You think logically, enjoy troubleshooting and know when to ask questions.
You’re a great teammate. You’re dependable, willing to learn and enjoy working alongside experienced people.
Experience in automotive electrical, marine, solar, electronics, industrial equipment or a related technical field would be valuable, but specialist qualifications aren’t essential.
Experience with Victron, lithium batteries or mobile power systems is a bonus, not a requirement.
We’re more interested in your aptitude, attitude and potential than how many years you’ve spent doing this exact work.
We’re part of Waypoint Group, alongside TOURIG and Contravans, building premium adventure vehicles and custom solutions for customers across the country.
We’re growing, investing in our capabilities and building a team that values Curiosity, Drive, Excellence, Discipline and Teamwork.
